Registered Nurse
Vera’s career in nursing started in one of North America’s largest Trauma Centres, located in the GTA. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (Formerly known as Ryerson University), she was a member of the University’s Toast Master’s Club and nominated for Clinical Excellence.
With over a decade of Nursing experience, including roles in being a Staff Nurse, Preceptor, Charge Nurse; to Team Leading, Mentoring, Educating and wellness promotion, Vera has had incredible opportunities to work alongside numerous interdisciplinary teams, in the fields of Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Trauma, and Perioperative and Ambulatory Care. It was, however, Vera’s time on the Trauma Floor, working with Traumatic Brain Injury patients, that cultivated her passion for advocating for an integration of a team approach to help patients, families and their care providers reach health and life goals, from a holistic point of view.
Vera has since been recognized as a “Champion of Care” from that organization and as a newer member of the Toronto Concussion Clinic, she hopes to bring the same enthusiasm, excellence and positivity to the team and share in providing exemplary client-centered care.
