Internal Medicine, MD, MSc
Dr. Azadeh Ghassemi is an internal medicine specialist. She completed her residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the Yale affiliated Connecticut Institute For Communities from 2019 to 2023. She holds an MSc from Concordia University and earned her MD with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine in 2019. Her undergraduate and graduate research focus was on the effects of exercise and music on the brain and neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis. She has several publications in medical journals and has received multiple awards, including the FRQS, Bourse de Maitrise, Concordia Power Corporation of Canada Graduate Fellowship, a New Millennium Graduate Scholarship, the Thomas F. Draper, M.D. Award of Excellence after completion of chief residency and the Resident of the Year award from CIFC. She has experience in multiple clinical settings, inpatient hospital care, outpatient internal medicine practice, and walk-in clinics which has earned her a broad experience in treating her patients.
