Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Collisions

In our experience, motor vehicle accident collisions account for up to 40% of concussions. At Toronto Concussion, we offer rehabilitation for concussions that are sustained after a motor vehicle accident collision.

.

We treat our patients with care, and often times, motor vehicle accident collisions can involve paperwork, legal meetings, independent exams, and other topics that can, at times, be overwhelming.

.

Our team can support you throughout your process.

Typically, after you’ve sustained a concussion from your motor vehicle accident (irrespective of whether you were at fault or not), there are some things you will need to do:

  1. Advise your auto insurance company that you have sustained a concussion through a motor vehicle accident
  2. Find health care providers who can assist you in your road to recovery – Our program is quarterbacked by various health care providers – physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic therapy, etc.

While visits with the physicians are covered by OHIP, visits with extended health care providers incur charges.

Our program works diligently to offer you care under the purview of OHIP and supplement our care with extended health care providers who can be of service to you. Our goal is to make sure that care is accessible.

To start the process, please email our team at team@torontoconcussion.ca, asking about MVA claims. Our team will orient you to the appropriate team members to assist you in your claim process.
